I thought it was high time I did an eco-organising session in my kitchen pantry.
It was a DISASTER!
A mish mash of chaotic bags with clips, rubber bands, plastic take away containers with random things like 2tsps of coffee grounds and a few jars here and there.

My bright idea to re-do my pantry today
I embarked on this little task today at about 2pm.
I had scoured Salvos, Vinnies and AngliCare for large jars to use but they were thin on the ground. I had to pilfer a dozen of them from the local $2 shop.
They all have rubber seals (natural rubber - YAY!) and wire clasps so they are nice and air tight.
I pulled EVERYTHING out - chaos on the benches - and emptied every single plastic PACKET of whatever into a glass jar.
I decided to label them with a whiteboard marker. It rubs off easily, is clearly seen and very quick and simple. I have it hanging on a string next to my apron inside the pantry now. Yes, I have an apron... my Mum gave it to me. It has lavender blossoms on it. Its very cute... if not a little old fashioned.

The finished result: Eco-Organised Kitchen Pantry!
Anyway, all packets got emptied into jars and labelled.
All the plastic take away containers were emptied into glass jars too so that there is no leaching happening anywhere.
It was surprisingly satisfying, especially when I finished and stood back to admire my eco-organising skills.
What do you think? Job well done?
Love and super-duper eco organised pantries,
