You might be asking yourself "Why on EARTH is this woman starting a lifestyle blog just 25 days after giving birth?"
Welcome to The Eco Mum! :-)
Since I fell pregnant, I had been researching like a crazy person to find out all I could about getting my health back on track, staying healthy, creating good quality breast milk, ensuring I gave birth to a healthy and robust little girl... there was so much I was reading up on, I'd be up till 2am some nights, just reading!
I started chatting with people, posting things that I'd learnt on my personal Facebook page, emailing friends etc just to share and find out what other people knew. Since then, I've had so many people asking me where I found out about stuff & things that I'd picked up along the way, mostly related to bubbas and their lovely Mummas that need to stay healthy. After several months of that, I figured it was time to throw it all out there in an more accessible way.
There was a clear need, that I could see, for a lot more holistic health information for mummas and bubbas, for eco-friendly products and choices for parenting, for herbal health that can be done at home and for home remedies that actually work. I wanted to try to provide all of this to the broader public because if I needed to know it, surely other families did too.
So, during those Witching Hour feeds (that are like, SO not my favourite part of motherhood!) when my precious little one just won't settle & she's hollering up a storm, I can strap her to my person, pull out good ol'lappy & download from the MotherShip all things eco-mummyness.
So, why not grab yourself something loaded in chocolatey goodness & a hot cuppa (catnip tea works great if you're breastfeeding & want bubbas to sleep more...) and have a read, a ponder, try out some tips, hints or recipes when you're ready but just enjoy the learning journey. Its really fun when you get into it!
