It is terribly sad that families are losing loved ones and my heart goes out to all of them.
FACT # 1 – Influenza viruses are in fact just that, they are VIRUSES. They are NOT bacterial infections.
FACT # 2 – Anti-biotics are ONLY successfully in treating bacterial infections. Reason being is that they are created to attack the NUCLEUS of a cell. Bacterial organisms have CELLS, they are collections of CELLS. Viruses are NOT celluar. They are more like ether than molecular – they DO NOT HAVE CELLS or a nucleus. Anti-biotics will NOT work.
FACT # 3 – The Australian Medical Association are on record stating that the current flu vaccines are NOT protecting Australians from new strains of influenza.
FACT # 4 – Hospitals are limited in how they can treat VIRUSES. There are few if ANY anti-viral treatments used en masse in hospitals and by doctors that are known and successful treatments for viral infections. Most often the symptoms are treated (with steroids for example) in the hope the body will recover from the virus itself. Tamiflu is a prime example – it is known to be a reasonably ineffective drug however it is often used as there are no other potent anti-viral treatments available on the market through pharmaceutical companies as yet.
Anti-viral herbs and foods can help overwhelm viral infections and viruses by interfering with the replication cycle and inhibiting the activities of the virus. They are also immune tonics and stimulate the immune system which in turn helps to alleviate the symptoms of viral infections.
There are a number of easy to find, easy to use herbal and food treatments that have POWERFUL and potent anti-viral properties and are very successful at treating a variety of viruses. I have put together an easy reference for some quick and powerful anti-viral recipes you can use at home TODAY for your family.
1/3 cup each of chopped organic ginger, garlic and onion
2 cups pure water
Boil for 20 minutes on high heat. Simmer for a further 10 minutes. Strain and drink as often as you can.
Alternatively, add in some beef or chicken stock (or vege stock) and a few vegetables and eat as a real soup. Amazingly healing, healthful and potent anti-viral properties abound!
Cinnamon and Elderberry Syrup
1 cup of elderberries
1 cup of raw, organic or manuka honey
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise
1 tbsp orange, lemon or lime zest
1/3 cup grated organic ginger
2 cups of pure (non-chlorinated, un-fluoridated) water
Simmer all ingredients in a small pan on low for 40 minutes until liquid is well reduced. Strain out the solids and compost.
Stir in the honey whilst the liquid is still warm.
Take a tablespoon every morning and night or every hour when unwell. This syrup is a potent anti-viral (thanks to the cinnamon, ginger and elderberries) and is pleasant tasting too!
Here is a good sized list of tried and true, well known and powerful anti-viral herbs and foods that you can use in your every day cooking and health care prevention.
For example, when ever our family have a cold, flu or other viral infection, I prepare strong brews of Echinacea tea with Elderflower and Licorice. It pretty strong tasting but when mixed with manuka or raw honey (also powerful anti-virals!) it tastes pretty nice and is VERY potent. Improvements are seen almost straight away when I dose up every hour.
· Siberian ginseng
· Olive Leaf
· Cats Claw
· Dandelion leaves
· Coconut oil
· Carrot Juice
If you are healthy but concerned, consider implementing some or all of these herbs and foods into your daily routine. If you are sick with a flu virus or other type of viral infection, then ramp up your intake of ALL the above lists and recipes.
In my home, I treat my family every 2 hours. Reason being, in ancient Chinese medicine, it is their belief that every 2 hours the body goes through another chi cycle or enters another energy cycle. When this happens, the body needs another treatment to maintain its repair cycles. Every 2 hours means that you are treating the virus in every “area” of the body through every cycle and your recovery will be faster and symptoms alleviate quicker.
NB: Echinacea works best if used for only 10 days then usage is discontinued. It is not ideal for use as a long term health tonic.
